| the debate is not about whether or not that gearing helps acceleration, it's about whether or not that increase in acceleration is worth a) the cost and b) the constant higher revving when driving at constant speed in a TT. The reason I dislike daily driving with my NA rear end is because at 60 or so MPH, 4th gear is revving too high and being in 5th gear doesn't allow enough power reserve. IMO, NA gearing and the TT power band are not well suited for daily driving, but are great for accelerating. :)
